Digital Effects, Inc. was the first computer graphic company in New York city. Jeff Kleiser,
who later moved to LA to found Kleiser-Walczak, Inc., was President of the company when I was there.
Digital Effects, Inc., N.Y. 1983-85. Did system
backups and archives. Wrote documentation for the operating system. Transfered data to 1600 BPI
magnetic tape and 35mm film using a Dicomed Film Recorder. Independent research:
Designed a character animation for the movement of Tai Chi Chuan using APL software with a
Harris 800 main frame computer. I was invited to Nice, France to give a technical talk about
this project, and the animation was shown at a Eurographics conference in England.
Vertigo Systems International, Vancouver, B.C., 1987. Demonstrated Vertigo's 3D
modeling and animation software and trained clients to use this software on SGI
and Sun systems they purchased
